CSGO Shuffle: Ninjas in Pyjamas signs aleksib for their CS:GO roster

Fnatic Rising meanwhile makes some changes to their lineup

With the ESL Pro League Season 16 running right now, you would think that no big announcements will be made for roster chances in the CS:GO scene. You would be wrong – one big announcement was made by a well-respected team to bolster their roster in the months to come.

Ninjas in Pyjamas

Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced that they have acquired Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen to be part of their roster. This announcement was on the back of the benching of Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora.

According to COO Jonas Gunderson, the acquisition was made as the camp saw “signs of stagnation” and hoped the “new energy” with aleksib’s signing will spur a change in the energy of the team moving forward. The acquisition of aleksib also necessitates the change of in-game comms language to English.

The signing also means that NiP’s roster is more international than ever. Aleksib will be playing with the team in the upcoming IEM Road to Rio European RMR event. The current line-up for the roster is:

  • Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
  • Hampus “hampus” Poser
  • Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
  • Aleksi “aleksib” Virolainen
  • Patrick “es3tag” Hansen

Fnatic Rising

The academy arm of the main Fnatic team, Fnatic Rising announced that their roster for the CS:GO team will be going through some changes. Two members will be leaving the organization – one to another team, one becoming a free agent.

Mikael “SheddaN” Mellström has been acquired by Heroic to be their new assistant coach in a mainline team. Previously he is the coach for Rising. Additionally, Filip “DEPRESHN” Jarkić has been released from his contract for him to explore new opportunities.

No announcement has been made yet to the replacement for both members as of publishing time by Fnatic

The current roster for Fnatic Rising is now:

  • Peppzor
  • Banjo
  • Maze
  • VolT
